This seminar takes you through a suite of tools that will make you more persuasive. It is a training program based on retoric and psychology. The program can stand alone, or follow other programs. A taylor made program can be developed for your company.
Proposed program for a 2 days' seminar:
Understanding Influence. Understand what makes people make decisions. Understand what happens when they change their minds.
Understanding Who You Talk To. Use the DISK model to anticipate your counterpart’s potential reaction to you, adjust your communication accordingly.
Your Credibility. Your credibility at a given moment depends partly on the history that your conterpart “reads” in you, but also on your immediate behaviour. Learn to work on your credibility in order to make other people believe in you.
Non Verbal Communication. Learn to read a face and a posture. Learn to control your own body language in order to deliver your message in the best possible way.
Verbal Communication. Work on your choice of words in different situations to make your point of vue as attractive to the audience as possible.
Argumentation. The Layout of Arguments helps you understand how an argument is build up. We study different examples closely in order to explain why persuation sometimes work, and sometimes fail completely. Learn how to construct an argument that is likely to have the best chances in a given situation according to your own analyses.
The Hard Way. Some situations call for quick and less pleasant solutions. But even these can be performed intelligently. Keep cool, use your head, and make your moves in order to get a result, not to give yourself a short and useless emotional satisfaction.
Exercises. Conversation exercises with the instructor. Persuation exercises in pairs or small groups. Written exercises.
Presentation Skills. Body language and voice. How to build up a presentation or a speech. Understand your audience.
Dialogue with the Audience. Learn how to be in contact with your audience and how you can use it to build credibility and make people listen more.
Video Recorded Exercises. Give a presentation, or have a simulated meeting or conversation recorded on video. It will be analyzed, discussed, and you get feedback from your co-participants and from your instructor.
