Throughout the study program, you will develop analytical, communicative, and design skills that will enable you to provide an interface between creation, marketing, and business in your later career. You will learn to analyze international trends, delve into the world of fashion brands and their sales and marketing strategies, and understand how to market products successfully via various sales channels.

Studying Fashion and Design Management qualifies you for challenging roles in the fashion, lifestyle, and consumer goods industry.

The AMD study program in Fashion & Design Management (B.A.) can be tailored to your own interests and goals for future development. In the third and fifth semesters, you will choose one of four interdisciplinary majors:

  • Staging Lab
  • Sustainability Lab
  • Brand Strategy Lab
  • Virtual Lab

These labs are also available to students on the study programs in Fashion Design (B.A.) and Fashion Journalism & Communication (B.A.) – creating a foundation for further inspiring exchanges across subject areas.

The Brand Strategy Lab and Sustainability Lab are particularly exciting for Fashion & Design Management (B.A.) students. If you opt for the Sustainability major and have previously attended a sustainability workshop during an AMD spring or fall academy, your academic transcript will show that you have earned a degree in Fashion & Design Management (B.A.), majoring in Sustainability.

Whichever lab you choose, you will be qualified for popular roles that have evolved with the megatrends of digitalization and sustainability, for example in e-commerce management and sustainability consulting, communication, and reporting.
